League of Legends: Wild Rift – When Support Can Also “Destroy” Mid Lane with Full AP Build

Support in League of Legends: Wild Rift can sometimes become the team's main damage source, just as long as they don't steal their teammates' kills.

League of Legends: Wild Rift has been out for a while, and players are gradually getting used to the relatively faster pace compared to the PC version of League of Legends. One of the notable differences, besides the high speed characteristic of the mobile game, is that in League of Legends: Wild Rift, some Mage champions designated as Support can completely “leave lane” to go to mid lane and become a formidable source of magic damage if equipped with the right items.

Recently, on Reddit, a user expressed their opinion that having Support champions completely change roles is inappropriate and hopes these champions stick to their roles to ensure sustainable benefits.

However, League of Legends: Wild Rift differs from the PC version in one crucial aspect, as mentioned above, which is the pace of the match occurring very quickly. In a team fight, a team that is winning can immediately have their Nexus destroyed if they are wiped out in League of Legends: Wild Rift. Another factor is that in Riot’s mobile game, the damage to quickly finish off opponents is the most crucial factor.

Therefore, champions with AP abilities like Lux or Seraphine can completely change roles and build AP items to deal lethal damage to opponents. It’s important to note that Lux’s combo, if used correctly, can swiftly send an enemy Marksman or Support or Mid Laner to the death screen in an instant.

Of course, not every AP champion playing Support can deal a lot of damage. For example, Janna, who only has one offensive skill, while the rest are defensive and buffing for teammates.

Additionally, most players when approaching League of Legends: Wild Rift will build items based on suggestions from the shop. Therefore, it is not too surprising for Supports to build full AP and become a true Mid Mage, especially in lower ranks.

In fact, having some Support champions build AP will provide the team with an additional massive source of damage without needing to farm too much. Thus, unlike some players who complain, this playstyle can be effectively applied in League of Legends: Wild Rift without affecting the gameplay or other teammates.
