T1 Drama – Gumayusi May End Thanks to… LCK Organizers
In recent days, as the T1 – Gumayusi drama continues to captivate fans. At this moment, the attention of the League of Legends community is focused on when T1 will announce its roster for the 2025 Regular Seasons. Additionally, there are reports that T1 will loan out one player from their current roster. Assuming this is true, this drama may come to an end thanks to… the LCK organizers.
Specifically, in March 2024, the LCK organizers introduced regulations allowing the tournament to implement a player exchange system with certain strict guidelines. One of these states that a loaned player must have a total playtime in the previous LCK season of less than 50%. Conversely, that player will only be able to compete in the Challengers.
However, with the LCK Cup 2025 just concluded, the question arises: what constitutes the “previous LCK season” as stated in the player exchange rules, if T1 indeed engages in this activity? When the LCK Cup 2025 took place and LazyFeel was included in the DRX lineup replacing Teddy, many expressed excitement at the debut of a Vietnamese player in an LCK tournament. However, later verified information indicated that the LCK Cup 2025 is not counted in the main tournament system of the LCK.
Thus, if the LCK continues to disregard the LCK Cup 2025, and T1 proceeds with the loan, then Smash could be the name put forward for the loan. This is because Gumayusi was a key member of T1 in the previous 2024 season, while Smash was still competing in the T1 Challengers team at that time.

If T1 truly loans out Smash, it might be a solution that satisfies all parties involved. Smash could have a better opportunity to compete in a less pressured team while Gumayusi returns to a role that he deserves, and the drama concludes. Furthermore, both T1 and the loaning team would be more comfortable, as the troubles are resolved, and both sides possess the highest quality players.
