Brand 3 Star
Essentially, in patch 11.4, Riot did not nerf the hyper-roll playstyle; they only reduced the power of the overly strong 1-cost carries. Therefore, the hyper-roll strategy will still exist in the upcoming patch 11.4, but the champion chosen to upgrade to 3 stars will differ. One of the most promising pieces for players to “gold plate” in the next patch is Brand. Even at this moment, the hyper-roll Brand composition has already proven to be extremely strong.
With the traits – system of Dragon Clan – Mage, Brand can deal incredibly massive damage in the early game. This will provide players with a relatively easy early game and plenty of options to build their team composition. If players obtain a BF Sword or a Wooden Bow, they can switch to using a 6 Dragon Clan composition with Olaf or Shyvana as the carry. In case of acquiring a Rod of Ages or a Tear of the Goddess, the Mage composition revolving around Aurelion Sol will be extremely powerful.
Talon – Enlightenment
One fact is that in the hyper-roll meta of patch 11.3, the Talon – Enlightenment composition faced many difficulties in securing victories. The reason is that Talon’s “execution” ability is severely limited as it struggles to take down 3-star units quickly. Even if your Talon is well-equipped, defeating them is extremely challenging due to the superior stats of the 3-star champions. Therefore, when Riot nerfs many 1-cost champions, Talon’s chance to shine will significantly increase.
Additionally, another carry of the Enlightenment composition, Morgana, is not heavily nerfed in the upcoming patch 11.4. Essentially, Riot only nerfed the damage of 3-star Morgana, so this champion’s overall strength remains unaffected. Moreover, the Enlightenment team can counter the meta relatively effectively as Talon and Morgana can continuously deal damage to the backline of opponents. Perhaps in the upcoming patch 11.4, Talon – Enlightenment will quickly dominate the meta.
Dragon Clan
One of the strongest points of the Dragon Clan composition is having too many strong carries. Names like Shyvana, Olaf, Swain, or Aurelion Sol are all incredibly powerful champions when equipped with items. Therefore, even if you are a “unlucky player,” you can still have a powerful team when building a Dragon Clan composition. You can even secure a top 1 position if you possess certain items, a prime example being the Mage Cap.
When giving the Mage Cap to Swain or Shyvana, they will receive double the amount of health from their abilities. Therefore, even at 1-star level, these units still possess an enormous amount of health. Even the lead designer of Teamfight Tactics – Riot Mortdog has proven that combining this item with Olaf is a fantastic option. The reason is that this unit will receive 2 attack speed buffs from his ability and have an incredibly high damage output.
