A few days ago, Riot Games brought us a lot of interesting information about Teamfight Tactics Season 5: Decision Day. In the introduction video that Riot Games released, we can “snoop” out the skills of many champions. Besides that, a few champions like Aatrox and Nautilus… have appeared but did not showcase their abilities. So how will they perform in Season 5? Let’s find out.

In the first introduction segment, we can see many champions using their abilities like Udyr, Shyvana, Gragas… Meanwhile, Aatrox, Nautilus, and Aurelion Sol only performed basic attacks. For the Dragon Tribe, we know that this team comp is at level 5 (because there are 5 champions on the field).
At this level, you will have a 2% chance of encountering a 4-cost champion. Therefore, we can consider that Aurelion Sol will be a 4-cost champion in the upcoming Season 5. In the history of Teamfight Tactics, whenever Aurelion Sol is priced at 4 gold, this unit will possess the skill Celestial Wave. If Aurelion Sol continues to be priced at 4 gold in Season 5, its ability will likely still be Celestial Wave.

In the event that Aurelion Sol is priced lower (from 3 gold or less), this champion will use the skill Starcall. For a champion priced at 3 gold or less, Riot rarely allows it to have a long-range area damage skill that is too powerful. Therefore, the Starcall ability with not too much damage accompanied by a stun effect is a reasonable choice.
For the remaining team composition, we can observe that the player only has level 4. Clearly, at this level, players cannot purchase 4-cost champions. Therefore, Aatrox and Nautilus will likely be priced at 3 gold or less. In Seasons 1 and 2, when Aatrox was priced at 3 gold, this unit used the Darkin Blade skill. Meanwhile, Nautilus is likely to have the same ability as the current version since this unit appears balanced and does not require much adjustment.

Next, in the segment introducing Draven, we can recognize the image of a basic attack or Kalista’s Piercing Strike ability. It is very likely that this is a teaser from Riot about Kalista possessing the Piercing Strike ability in the upcoming Season 5.

In the final introduction segment, we can recognize the appearance of Warwick, Kha’Zix, and Nidalee. Looking at the number of units on the battlefield, it can be inferred that this player has only reached level 4 and possesses low-cost units. For Warwick, this champion used to cost 1 gold in Seasons 1 and 2 with the ability Binding Strike. This ability allows Warwick to control and deal damage to a target while healing. It seems likely that Riot will continue to apply this ability to Warwick in Season 5.

As for Kha’Zix, this champion previously cost 1 gold in Seasons 1 and 3. At that time, this unit had the ability Taste Fear with an effect that dealt additional damage to isolated targets. For Nidalee, this champion had the ability to shapeshift into a cougar in Season 1. If Season 5 includes a Shapeshifter system, it is highly likely that Nidalee will possess this ability. If not, Nidalee may continue to have the Javelin Toss skill as currently.
