In the eyes of the audience at global League of Legends tournaments, to have a thrilling match, the teams’ strengths must at least be equal or comparable, avoiding one-sided, boring, and predictable matches. However, on Sunday (March 21), the professional League of Legends community unveiled the ‘weakest team in the world,’ which is Team AURORA with a record of 0-18 after finishing the group stage. Many viewers believe that this team ‘disrespects fans’ because, after all, they are one of the 10 teams participating in the Turkish Championship League (TCL) – a smaller tournament but at least offers a ticket to MSI 2021 like many other regions.
It can be said that AUR has tried their best to secure at least one honorable win; however, all efforts have been in vain as the team’s strength is too far apart from the rest of the tournament. Many viewers even sarcastically remarked that AUR is playing ‘God of Wealth’s lose streak but will hit the jackpot next season.’

There are also many who believe that AUR has made a great effort, just in the wrong way. Because in the most recent season, the summer of 2020, AUR’s roster had 17 members, and all 17 names played at least once, yet the outcome was still better than 3-15 after the group stage. In the current season, AUR is using a lineup of 12 members (9 new names), but the result is an 18-match losing streak.
