Since the release of Viego alongside the invasion of the Black Mist across Runeterra, the majority of the League of Legends community understands that Riot has planned a series of champions related to Viego or the Black Mist to debut in the Summoner’s Rift. Recently, Gwen – the Wish Doll has appeared with a backstory believed to contain the soul of Isolde – the wife of the Ruined King.
In the introduction of the release schedule and reworks of existing champions, Riot revealed that one of the newest names to appear in the future will be a Mage from the Yordle tribe, and notably, this Mage champion will have close ties to Viego and the Black Mist. Riot is also orienting this new champion to be a pure Mage.

However, recently, a Riot employee’s Reddit account indicated that the launch process for this Yordle champion may be delayed. Instead, Riot will reveal the storyline related to this champion first.

According to Spideraxe – the manager of the League of Legends Wiki, this delay will not affect the story of the Ruined King that Riot has been planning for the entire year.

In addition to the information about the Yordle Mage champion, the League of Legends community is also looking forward to the appearance of Dr. Mundo after his rework, as well as a mid-lane marksman champion teased from the land of sun, wind, and sand, Shurima, and an ally of Lucian – Senna. Furthermore, another name is also set to debut and is speculated to be a champion from Zaun.
