DK Star Admits a Critical Mistake Causing Their Loss to T1
In the past season, T1 found themselves in several “do-or-die” matches, where a single defeat could mean losing the entire season. Besides the solid mentality of a team with numerous titles in League of Legends history, T1 was able to secure victories by making fewer mistakes than their opponents. Recently, DK “proved” this point when ShowMaker admitted he made a serious mistake that led to his team’s defeat against T1 in the first match of the two teams during the LCK 2025 playoffs.

According to ShowMaker: “At that moment, I was using Tryndamere, right? I confused the skill effects between Viktor’s ability in Faker’s hands and Blitzcrank’s from Keria. Therefore, when I saw Viktor’s ability, I mistakenly called for my teammate Aiming, leading to him being taken down. From that point, we lost our advantage and lost the match. I feel very sorry for my teammates, and watching the replay made me feel even more regretful.”
This loss pushed DK down to the lower bracket, where they faced a highly rated opponent at that time, BFX. Later, DK met T1 again and continued to lose to this opponent, resulting in ShowMaker missing the World Championship for the first time since the start of his career.

DK Next Season Can Still Challenge LCK and Especially T1
After an unsuccessful season, DK has undergone significant restructuring in the Bottom Lane, with the addition of Smash and Career. While Career has showcased his skills in youth tournaments, Smash is quite a unique case. He was a key figure related to the T1 – Gumayusi drama early in the season. However, after Gumayusi’s departure, T1 also parted ways with Smash, which left many people both frustrated and surprised.

Therefore, future clashes between T1 and DK will be highly anticipated, whether T1 will continue to win, or Smash will show his former team the mistake they made by excluding him from their plans after a tumultuous season.
