Since May 17, the Vietnamese League of Legends community has been going from one surprise to another. The first shot came from the fact that Le “Dia1” Phu Quy was banned from competition for 1 year due to “colluding” with SBTC Esports while playing for GAM Esports.
Not stopping there, immediately after Dia1’s punishment, Zeros and Teacher Ba sharply criticized Mr. V. – the former manager of GAM. Specifically, Zeros stated that all the drama related to GAM was orchestrated by Mr. V. He was also accused by Zeros of pressuring young players, and even “protecting” the account boosting of “Ma Vuong 2k”.

On May 18, the Vietnamese LoL community was once again shaken when Dia1 and Nguyen Le “Yijin” Hai Dang – Dia1’s teammate in SE, were implicated in a betting scandal. This is a major taboo for players, and the penalties for such actions are severe. Specifically, PHT from OverPower Esports was banned for 2 years by the VCS organizers for similar betting activities.

In such chaotic times, many SE fans hoped that manager Cao Le Tuan Tu would release the 47-minute clip he always mentioned to potentially “turn the tide” or at least lessen the punishment for Dia1. And on his personal stream, Teacher Ba confirmed that this clip is real and has been submitted to the VCS organizers for review.
Immediately, across forums, SE fans were extremely excited. They hoped that this recording could uncover some mitigating evidence or even prove that Dia1 did not “collude”.

However, at this point, the information is still based solely on Teacher Ba’s statements. In the coming time, the Vietnamese LoL community will definitely remain unsettled, but the online community needs to stay alert, filter information, and avoid impacting unrelated individuals and groups.
