VCS Young Star Adds Salt to T1 Fans’ Wounds
At the LCK Cup 2025, T1 failed to reach the final match and secure the championship. The consequence of this is that, despite being the reigning World Champions, this team missed out on the First Stand – Riot’s first international tournament of 2025. In fact, T1 ended up in 6th place, accompanied by a series of internal dramas stemming from the AD Carry position of Gumayusi and Smash.

Notably, even though some time has passed since the LCK Cup 2025, the young star from VCS – LazyFeel recently made a “casual” statement that added salt to the wounds of T1 fans. Specifically, he was asked a question on his stream, “Who is the best AD Carry in LCK right now?” And LazyFeel stated that it is Viper.
The young AD Carry from VCS candidly said: “Of course right now I have to pick the one who just became champion, which is Viper. As for Gumayusi, who knows, since he hasn’t played at all.”

T1 Fans Must Also Suffer Because They “Can’t Argue”
In reality, LazyFeel’s assessment is entirely accurate and also quite normal. However, many T1 fans feel “sorrowful” because, according to many opinions, it was indeed Gumayusi’s absence that contributed to T1 finishing 6th place in the LCK Cup 2025. They even got eliminated after just one match, despite topping their group in the group stage.

Not to mention, the rookie promoted from T1 Challenger – Smash has also been underwhelming. All that this player has left in the hearts of fans is his ability to… “steal” kills. Meanwhile, other important metrics like damage conversion in team fights and damage dealt to opponents… from Smash are very low. In fact, these numbers are even lower than the AD Carry considered the weakest among the 6 players in the playoffs, Deokdam from KT.

In the context that T1 has confirmed they will use a 6-man roster, it is entirely possible that Smash will continue to compete alongside Gumayusi in the near future. And at this point, T1 fans have the right to worry about a scenario similar to the LCK Cup, especially when the roaming playstyle can no longer cover Smash’s lane weaknesses.
