Spellcasters
To put it bluntly, Vel’Koz is currently the strongest spellcasting carry with his enormous damage output. Moreover, Vel’Koz has the advantage of dealing damage through the front line, taking down opponents’ carries in the back. No matter how well your carry is protected, Vel’Koz can easily eliminate them. Additionally, other Spellcasters like Brand, Viktor, or Zyra greatly support Vel’Koz’s damage potential.

Therefore, compositions centered around 4 Spellcasters are extremely powerful and can easily help you reach the top 4. As long as you have Spellcasters in the back, Teamfight Tactics players can utilize many forms of frontline tanks like Zombies, Knights, or Riders… Perhaps Riot Games needs to reduce Vel’Koz’s skill damage a bit so that this champion can’t “wipe out” enemy teams too easily. Furthermore, Brand’s magic resistance reduction ability also needs to be nerfed in the upcoming patch.
Warriors
With a strong buff in patch 11.10, the Warrior composition has quickly risen to the top of the Teamfight Tactics meta. Additionally, the resilience of the Pantheon – Redemption combo allows Warrior players to maintain their health extremely well during difficult mid-game phases. Even if you lose a few rounds, Pantheon ensures that the Warrior units deal significant damage and take down many enemy pieces.

In the upcoming patch 11.11, Riot might need to nerf Pantheon’s damage reduction ability at 1-2 star levels so that this unit isn’t too “tanky” too early. Furthermore, the stat-stealing effect of Trundle has also proven to be too strong recently, and Riot should consider nerfing this ability. If these changes are implemented, the Warrior team won’t be as dominant early in the game, increasing the risk for players using this composition.
Assassins
Although they have already been nerfed, the Shadow – Assassin composition remains a relatively strong option for climbing ranks. With the Blue Buff and Infinity Edge combo (both standard and Shadow versions), Katarina can continuously reposition on the battlefield and deal excellent damage. Moreover, the carries in this composition are not too expensive, allowing players to roll from level 7 easily. Thus, you can easily defeat players who save gold and level up to 8 with the Shadow – Assassin composition.

To reduce the strength of this composition, Riot could increase the energy lock time after Katarina uses her ability. This would give the units attacked by Katarina a bit more time to deal damage or eliminate this unit. Additionally, the crowd control ability, specifically the stun duration at the first two levels, that Diana provides also needs to be nerfed in the upcoming patch.
