Toxicity is a major taboo for professional League of Legends players, as such unprofessional behavior can lead to not only sanctions from their teams or organizers but also the backlash of fans.
Unfortunately, recently, SofM has found himself in the “villain” role in such a case, as this player, after experiencing some disagreements with GimGoon during a ranked match where they were on the same team, unleashed some rather harsh words aimed at the former FPX player.

Specifically, in the ranked match between SofM and GimGoon, after SofM’s Udyr was robbed of a camp without support from teammates, GimGoon’s Orianna in the mid lane was the closest but could not move in time due to being pushed under tower. SofM became frustrated and began to complain about why GimGoon chose Orianna, which led to the mid lane being pressured, and declared “I can’t carry this team.”
GimGoon – who is also known for his fiery temper, naturally responded very harshly, leading to SofM starting to lose his composure and continuously cursing in the chat frame:
“SofM: I told you, you are an idiot (SB = Sha Bi: stupid). You can’t carry the team and you choose this kind of champion. How many ganks have I supported just to get killed twice? Don’t you understand? Picking Jayce and Orianna, what champion can I use to carry? Graves?”
GimGoon: Why can’t I play carry champions? Can’t I push the lane early game?
SofM: You picked that champion to cover the position (using the next pick to choose champions that balance the team) and then got solo-killed.
GimGoon: So the problem is all mine? Always blaming others? Don’t you have any issues? Getting solo-killed twice is my fault, but that’s an unavoidable situation, why do you keep bringing up champion picks?”
SofM: If you had initially picked Galio or Maokai in mid lane, we would have won for sure, yet you brought Orianna and Jayce into this mess.
GimGoon: If you’re so good, why didn’t you say anything when we were picking that champion? What does complaining now solve? Can anything change? Or are you just looking to assign blame to your teammates, which is disgusting!
SofM: You can tell we are losing 5 minutes into the game, what else is there to say?
GimGoon: I’m asking why you didn’t bring this up (champion pick issue) back at the ban/pick phase? Or are you just looking for a fight? Do you think blaming others now is helpful? Just looking to shift the blame, it’s truly disgusting, you don’t play but just sit around talking nonsense and then want to curse others.
SofM: I was afraid you wouldn’t understand what I was saying back then.
GimGoon: Stop making others feel disgusted, SofM, your attitude is not worthy of being a professional player, it’s disgusting!
SofM: What does this match have to do with attitude?
GimGoon: I don’t understand why you keep cursing your teammates?
SofM: You can tell we are losing 5 minutes in, right?
GimGoon: It’s just a loss in a ranked game.
SofM: You really don’t know when to surrender?
GimGoon: Then don’t play anymore.
SofM: Okay, losing one match is nothing, let’s ff!
GimGoon: If you knew that, why would you still complain? If you’re so good, why aren’t you top 1 yet?”

It can be seen from this dialogue that SofM used many vulgar and inappropriate words to criticize GimGoon. This is not the first time the captain of Suning has displayed unprofessional and toxic behavior in ranked matches.
Moreover, when looking back at the developments of the match, things were not as SofM lamented, “losing 5 minutes into the game”. On the contrary, GimGoon – the one he attacked, had a quite good early game performance with Orianna in the mid lane.
In this situation, SofM seems to be at fault, as not only did he violate the rules of professional players with his inappropriate language, offending other players, but even from the perspective of a League of Legends gamer, it is very hard for anyone to accept a player who continuously uses harsh words against teammates like that.
It is very likely that SofM will soon face sanctions from Suning, after this incident has been widely shared on Chinese social media, and this player is currently facing quite a lot of criticism from the LPL gaming community. Moreover, it is worth noting that previously, there were rumors about GimGoon joining Suning, but perhaps with the attitudes of these two players, the likelihood of them becoming teammates is very slim.
