The idea of non-human champions revealing themselves has always excited the League of Legends community. A prime example includes Thresh in the Spirit Blossom skin, and recently Renekton in the Battlecast skin, along with Xerath in the Dark Star skin, inspired by Tarot cards.

In a blog post a few days ago, Riot’s head of skin production, Eggo McLego, expressed excitement about how well-received the skins featuring Xerath and Renekton have been among players, receiving very positive feedback. Through Riot’s main page, he also shared that his team has plans for non-human champions to have a new appearance in upcoming skin lines.

With Eggo McLego’s comments, players can definitely look forward to a series of skins that give non-human champions like Anivia, Nocturne, Rek’Sai, and Kha’Zix a humanoid appearance. However, Eggo also noted: “We won’t overdo this with any champion and will not lose the identity and characteristic traits of those champions, but we’re very excited about bringing them fresh visuals.”
Skins that allow non-human champions to reveal themselves in League of Legends have always been a fascinating and intriguing topic for the gaming community. Perhaps it was the overwhelmingly positive feedback from the Spirit Blossom skin line featuring Thresh and Kindred that encouraged Riot to continue exploring this, and players have the right to expect surprises in the future, such as Kha’Zix as an assassin reminiscent of Assassin’s Creed or Anivia as the Snow Queen, for instance.
