In their recent announcements, Riot stated that they have adjusted Tahm Kench and the new version of the River King will debut in the upcoming patch 11.13. Currently, Tahm Kench has been made available for League of Legends players to experience on the PBE server and, as usual, a serious bug has emerged.

Specifically, according to the “bug sleuth” Vandiril, the bug occurs when Tahm Kench uses his ultimate – Devour (previously his W ability). In the clip shared by Vandiril, when Tahm Kench uses Devour on an ally and then activates his Abyssal Voyage, the swallowed ally can still use their skills and items as normal.
Notably, this bug doesn’t interrupt abilities that are being channeled, such as Jhin’s R, Lulu’s R, and when Tahm Kench moves with Jhin using Curtain Call, this ability is also redirected in the direction of Tahm Kench even though the nature of this skill is a fixed area of effect. This bug also makes Mordekaiser invisible if he uses his ultimate while inside Tahm Kench’s R.
This can be considered a very serious bug if it is not Riot’s intention to empower Tahm Kench. If this is indeed the goal in reworking Tahm Kench, then creating such an overpowered ultimate may even backfire, as this champion could be immediately banned from matches. Additionally, Tahm Kench’s Devour now has a cooldown of up to 120 seconds at level 6, which will make it difficult for players wanting to use this champion in the future.
