Hextech Gunblade
If you didn’t know, Hextech Gunblade will deal true damage to the champion it is equipped on whenever that unit deals critical damage. Therefore, with champions that have skills causing multiple hits, this item will make them lose health very quickly. In patch 11.13 of TFT, Hextech Gunblade has been adjusted to only deal true damage to the champion it is equipped on when that unit attacks or uses a skill.
This change will make Hextech Gunblade much easier to use and can provide the team with a massive amount of damage. Now units like Pantheon, Vel’Koz, Brand, Teemo… can fully utilize Hextech Gunblade to swiftly eliminate the opposing team. With this change, Hextech Gunblade is set to become a very hot item in the upcoming patch 11.13. Playstyles like Vel’Koz and Teemo with Hextech Gunblade could even become the meta.
Celestial Cloak
In terms of damage dealing or healing reduction, Celestial Cloak is significantly stronger than the Fire Cloak. The only limitation of this item comes from the fact that Celestial Cloak applies healing reduction to the champion it is equipped on. However, this will no longer be a major issue in patch 11.13, as Celestial Cloak will only apply healing reduction for the first 8 seconds of combat, instead of the entire round as before.
This makes Celestial Cloak a very powerful item in the next patch, still providing a lot of damage while the negative effect is not too significant. This item will weaken team compositions that rely heavily on healing like Divine or Rebirth. It is quite possible that the 6 Divine comp or hyper-roll Vladimir team will no longer be a strong choice in the upcoming patch 11.13 with the prevalence of Celestial Cloak.
Redemption Chain
In the upcoming patch 11.13, Redemption Chain will continue to be nerfed as its area damage reduction capability is reduced to only 25%. Remember that in the previous patch 11.11, Redemption Chain had its healing capability nerfed. Combined with the latest power reduction, the defensive capability of this item is no longer as outstanding as before. This means that team compositions with many melee champions like Knights or Warriors will become significantly weaker.
The comp most affected is probably Yasuo – Spirit since Redemption Chain is often equipped on Pantheon. This item helps melee champions like Lee Sin, Mordekaiser, or Trundle become extremely tanky and provide good protection for Yasuo to deal damage. The nerf to this item will likely make the Yasuo – Spirit composition no longer a top meta choice as the units of this team-comp are too easy to take down.
