Recently, Cerberus Esports officially announced the confirmation that player Kim “Poss” Min-cheol, the newly joined Korean rookie, has been granted permission by the VCS Organizing Committee to compete in the VCS Summer 2021 tournament.

“Cerberus Esports is pleased to announce,
Having received approval and confirmation from representatives of the Vietnam Championship Series Organizing Committee, Cerberus Esports is pleased to announce: Kim “Poss” Min-cheol is allowed to participate in the Vietnam Championship Series Summer 2021 as a player in the Top lane position.
With this announcement, Kim “Poss” Min-cheol will be the first foreign player to compete in the highest esports tournament of League of Legends in Vietnam. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the VCS Organizing Committee, the staff at Garena and Riot Games for collaborating and supporting CES in completing the procedures and permits. We hope this will be a fresh breeze that CES brings to the VCS Summer 2021 season, promising to be more exciting than ever.”
Previously, as known, Cerberus Esports announced that Poss was granted a work permit in Vietnam by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. However, to join VCS, this player still needed to wait for the organizing committee to reconsider and evaluate the foreign player regulations, as VCS has rarely welcomed foreign players in the past.

Prior to Poss, former SKT player – Profit also “almost” became the first player labeled as a foreign player in VCS, however, for various reasons, Profit did not have the opportunity to debut in VCS, although he had joined Team Flash.
As for Poss, this guy has previously played for Team WE – One of the most traditional and prestigious esports organizations in the LPL. Having experienced a high-class and competitive environment could be the “capital” for Poss to bring a new breeze to VCS Summer 2021, let’s wait and see if the first foreign player in history will demonstrate superior strength, or if the top lane superstars of VCS will be ready to face this new variable.
