Armored
Although it did not receive any buffs, and even the additional armor was reduced, the Armored trait remains an essential factor in many team compositions in the current meta. Essentially, the crowd control abilities of Rell and Nautilus are extremely useful, making these units often sought after by players. If you can activate the Knight or Cavalier systems, the durability of these units becomes significantly more troublesome.

Not stopping there, with the popularity of Archer, Gunner, and Requiem compositions featuring Draven as the main carry, armor stats are becoming increasingly important. This is the perfect condition for the Armored trait to shine as it helps your entire team become exceptionally resilient. The advice here is that if you are unsure about which frontline units to use, the duo of Nautilus and Rell is always an incredibly strong choice in the mid to late game.
Undead
Although losing a powerful unit like Ryze, the Undead trait remains extremely dominant and at the top of the current meta. According to statistics from the specialized site Metatft.com, the two compositions Undead – Demon – Mage and Undead – Sorcerer currently have the best average ranking. It is not an exaggeration to say that playing around the Undead trait is the best way for Teamfight Tactics players to quickly climb the ranks at the start of season 5.5.

Essentially, the operation of the Undead trait has not changed much from before. However, the fact that Undead Abomination only needs 2 allies to fall to be summoned makes the Undead team significantly stronger. Having an additional unit that has high health, damage, and skills that provide crowd control immunity enhances the damage and durability of this composition remarkably. This allows players to customize this composition with various carries such as Yasuo, Riven, or Zyra.

Assassin
Although Riot Games has removed Katarina and LeBlanc from Teamfight Tactics, the Assassin system remains incredibly strong in season 5.5. Indeed, you will face more challenges in reaching the threshold of 4 Assassins with Katarina and LeBlanc gone. However, just having 2 units is enough for the remaining assassins like Kha’Zix, Pyke, or Nocturne to deal enough damage to take down the enemy backline.

If you pay attention, in the current meta, there are many compositions using backline carries like Gunner, Demon, Archer teams… These are clearly the perfect prey for Assassins to take down in the mid-game. This allows you to build a long winning streak to ensure you have enough gold to upgrade your carries to higher levels. In the late game, you should replace Kha’Zix with Viego to counter the enemy’s main carry and add some Demon units to ensure Nocturne’s safety.
