The “Powerful” Strength of Shaco in TFT Season 14
A few days ago, TFT Season 14 officially appeared on the PBE server and has attracted a lot of attention from players. Many playstyles and team compositions have been tested to find powerful champions or optimal builds. Among them, Shaco seems to be providing incredibly positive results as this unit shows extremely high damage, an annoying playstyle, and can carry the team very well.

The breakthrough point for Shaco in TFT Season 14 comes from the item “Crown of the Chief” and the enhancement effect of the “Gang” trait. Accordingly, when possessing the “Crown of the Chief”, Shaco’s skill will be enhanced and allow this unit to teleport to the lowest health enemy within 4 squares and deal damage. Combined with Infinity Edge and other damage-supporting items, Shaco can easily “take out” the backline carries of opponents with this skill. Moreover, Shaco’s passive increases Attack Damage per kill, so this unit remains highly valuable in the late game.

Not stopping there, the team composition of the Shaco – Gang playstyle also supports this unit very well. It should be noted that Dr. Mundo in TFT Season 14 also costs 1 gold and possesses the “Butcher” and “Brawler” traits. This unit can combine well with low-cost units like Shaco, Darius, and Twisted Fate to achieve the activation thresholds of 3 “Gang”, 2 “Butcher”, and 2 “Brawler” right at level 4. This helps the Shaco – Gang composition at the beginning of the game to have both high damage and strong tankiness.
Building Shaco as a Carry in TFT Season 14
Similar to other playstyles revolving around a 1-gold carry, players will not buy experience at the start to maximize the chance of obtaining Shaco and Dr. Mundo. Upon reaching level 4, units like Twisted Fate and Darius will be very strong additions to activate important trait systems. After that, players will apply a slow roll strategy at level 5 to upgrade Shaco and Dr. Mundo to 3 stars as quickly as possible.

After achieving the above goals, gamers will continuously buy experience to catch up with the levels of other players. At this point, other “Butcher” units like Vayne, Jarvan IV, or Senna will be prioritized for purchase during this phase to supplement Shaco’s damage and healing stats. Players should also replace Twisted Fate with Braum to increase frontline tankiness. In the late game, Zed will be the optimal addition to the composition as this unit will support additional damage.

Some Tips When Building the Team Composition
Although possessing the “Butcher” trait with full lifesteal capabilities, players should still assemble healing items like “Hand of Justice” and “Bloodthirster” for Shaco. These will help this unit withstand fights and deal damage much more effectively in the late game. Additionally, positioning Shaco is very important as it directly affects the effectiveness of this unit. Players should place Shaco in the second row and align it with the opponents’ ranged carries to increase the chances of this unit targeting the correct enemy.
