One of the first points of interest in the 11.16 update is the rework of Sona, especially after receiving criticism from players who suggested that Sona should be renamed to Seraphine 2.0. Besides buffing her strength, developers also want to consider new items, which Sona has struggled with, while updating her Q, W, E, and R abilities, including her passive. Sona is not the only champion receiving attention in this update, as Karma has also been adjusted by Riot, which could significantly impact her mobility.

In this update, several jungle champions have received buffs, including Jarvan IV, Nunu, and Shaco. Meanwhile, Jhin and Sivir are expected to make a significant comeback in the bottom lane. Additionally, Maokai and Vladimir have also been buffed to return to the top lane. As for the nerfs to certain champions, it’s no surprise to see Tahm Kench, who has been shaking up the ranks in the top lane, alongside Diana, Xin Zhao, and Ziggs. These champions are quite bothersome, not only dominating the ranked games but also performing well in the summer tournaments with a high win rate.
