One “Accomplice” in the T1 – Gumayusi Drama Remains Silent
In the drama between T1 – Gumayusi – Smash, the most significant figures in the leadership of this team, including CEO Joe Marsh and GM Becker, have all spoken out. While the players do not have the authority to intervene in professional matters or decisions made by the leadership, there is one figure who can also be considered an “accomplice” but has maintained an almost complete silence until now, which is the coaching staff led by Coach KkOma, Mata, and Tom.

Because, whether there are unilateral decisions or any “conspiracy,” it is almost certain that the T1 leadership will have to work with the coaching staff. CEO Joe Marsh also stated that it was the T1 coaching team that suggested promoting Smash for the 2025 LCK Cup. Therefore, even if this is a distraction tactic from the T1 CEO, the coaching staff also needs to make statements for the fans of this team.

As of now, which is during the 2025 Regular Seasons, all that the T1 coaching staff has communicated to fans is simply information about “rotation” and “data collection.” Of course, this information has since been directly refuted by the reality of the results and further comments from the higher-ups at T1. However, Coach KkOma has not made any new statements.

The League of Legends Community and T1 Fans Are Also Feeling Frustrated
The silence of the T1 coaching staff has indeed frustrated many fans. Granted, it may be due to upper management not allowing them to make “overstepping” statements, but under the condition that the coaching team must ensure T1 achieves good results. However, the in-game performances are working against T1. As the reigning World Championship winners, T1 fans cannot be satisfied with the “achievement” of being a team that “almost defeated Hanwha Life Esports.”

The upcoming Regular Seasons, as well as MSI, EWC, and the World Championship thereafter (if any), will be opportunities for T1 to regain the trust of fans. However, if they make wrong choices, the situation could worsen for the remainder of the season.
