With FunPlus Phoenix becoming the top contender for the LPL Summer 2021 championship after the formidable Royal Never Give Up was eliminated, they have naturally become the center of attention for the media.
Recently, the captain of the Fire Phoenix – Doinb found himself embroiled in another controversy when it was discovered that he had enacted a “chat ban” on Bo – who, nominally, is his teammate, after FPX management allowed him to return to practice following a suspension related to match-fixing scandals.

Specifically, in a match where Doinb played Irelia on the blue team, while Bo took Viego on the red team, FPX’s “old” jungler intervened repeatedly in the mid lane and quickly took Doinb down in the early game.
After securing the kill on his elder teammate, Bo typed in the all-chat with the succinct message: “1”. Surprisingly, Doinb immediately issued a chat ban against Bo right after this moment. Doinb’s “decisive” action instantly drew attention. The chat ban seems to indicate that Doinb did not want to “interact” with Bo, at least not during that match, though the deeper reasons remain a topic of debate.
Many believe that Doinb’s reluctance to be involved with Bo relates to the latter’s past conviction. After Bo was officially found guilty of participating in match-fixing, not many FPX members showed support for his return. There was a time when FPX expressed a desire to release Bo, but later they announced that he could return to practice with the main team.

Some sources suggest that Nuguri and LWX even stopped practicing to protest this decision, aiming to protect Tian and oppose the presence of a player who has previously “tainted” his reputation. Doinb, while not taking any extraordinary actions, likely aligns with Nuguri and boycotts Bo.
However, other opinions argue that the incident was simply a result of Bo provoking Doinb, making him uncomfortable. The chat message “1” could be seen as a “body count” statement, considering that Bo had spent nearly all his time camping Doinb’s mid lane.
At the end of the match, Bo’s team emerged victorious, and he was also the MVP with a KDA of 14/0/5, while Doinb, due to excessive camping, ended up with a score of 1/7. Given this situation, it’s understandable that Doinb would get angry and issue a chat ban.

Regardless of the reasons, this action clearly indicates that the relationship between Doinb and Bo is far from good. Doinb is not someone easily provoked to the point of using a chat ban against a specific individual. It’s likely that he truly wants nothing to do with Bo.
As for FPX’s jungler, with most of the star players on the team dissatisfied with his presence, Bo’s career at this team may unofficially be considered over.
