T1 representatives respond to information from Zeus’s side, igniting conspiracy theories about CEO Joe Marsh’s future.
Recently, T1 representatives, in their statements to the media in South Korea, have reacted to information from the Zeus side. Notably, T1 affirmed that the statements of T1 CEO Joe Marsh regarding the incident in the AMA section right after Zeus left were the CEO’s personal opinions and did not represent T1. Additionally, T1 also affirmed that they would not make any corrections or have any further involvement related to the incident or Joe Marsh’s statements.

However, alongside T1’s assertion, which implicitly seems to “admit defeat” in the controversies surrounding Zeus, there is a notable opinion: The role of the CEO, if T1 and The Play’s statements are correct, is very vague. The Play also confirmed that they “did not negotiate anything with T1’s CEO when discussing Zeus.”
Regarding Joe’s role, when he shared about the drama within T1, his voice would have significant influence, and at that time, he made very confident statements. But now, with T1’s new moves, this team is not only responding to The Play but also to CEO Joe Marsh himself.

T1’s denial of the CEO’s statements in relation to Zeus could be a sign that his position is under threat. This move not only helps the organization evade collective responsibility but also indicates that the CEO may become a “scapegoat” to calm public opinion and protect the team’s image.
The CEO himself needs to be more cautious. Because his actions and the current upper management have already lost the trust of many fans, even the core fans of T1. The factor that might keep him in position could be due to the CEO’s past contributions and his good relationship with Faker.

T1 CEO: “Many Accomplishments, Many Troubles”
Since taking over as CEO of T1, this CEO has had “many accomplishments but also many dramas.” He succeeded absolutely in finding ways, including going to Faker’s house to persuade him to stay with T1. In addition, he and his team have built the ZOFGK brand image as a collective of five people creating T1 instead of Faker taking all the visuals of the team as before.

Additionally, during the esports “crisis” after the pandemic, Joe Marsh and his team found ways for the team to survive and continue to be profitable. This is undeniable, even amidst the drama surrounding Joe Marsh.
However, his “faults” are not few. From unreasonable personnel appointments (Polt, Daeny – Zefa) to the harassment incident involving Oner. Even Tom was once considered a mistake for T1 when he became notorious for being anti the current world champion of the 2024 World Championship. But Tom’s subsequent contributions have dispelled all doubts.

Although T1 has clarified the incident involving Zeus, the denial of the CEO’s own words raises questions about his actual position within the team. There may be unforeseen developments in the future that even the fans do not expect.
