A few hours ago, Riot Games released a highly notable video introducing Teamfight Tactics season 6, details of which can be found HERE. In this video, Riot shared a bit about the theme, special mechanics, champions as well as a few traits and classes that will appear in the upcoming season 6. Additionally, Riot also introduced a new “spirit beast” named “Chibi Champion” with Jinx as the first character.

The special thing in this video is that we will see Caitlyn’s character design quite different from her default skin in League of Legends at the moment. Upon closer observation, we can see that Riot has removed Caitlyn’s oversized hat and her outfit has also become more streamlined and modest. Additionally, the leather straps wrapped around her legs in her current default outfit have been replaced with a more elegant black pair of pants.

This shows that Riot Games has been planning to upgrade Caitlyn’s visuals for some time. Therefore, when this champion appears in Teamfight Tactics season 6, an event happening in over a month, Riot will also utilize this new appearance. It’s very likely that Caitlyn’s new look in League of Legends will be directly taken from the game Legends of Runeterra.

This is not the first time Riot has introduced content not yet in League of Legends through Teamfight Tactics. If you recall, Riot Games introduced the Darius Lunar Beast skin into “auto chess” as a unit belonging to the Fortune tribe in season 4 since patch 10.19. However, it wasn’t until the Lunar New Year event took place in early February 2021 that this skin officially appeared in League of Legends.

If you pay attention, in the Teamfight Tactics interface in the League of Legends client, the expiration date of the Verdict ticket will end in 47 days. It is likely that when this item expires, it will also be the time when Teamfight Tactics is updated to season 6 along with Caitlyn’s new look. After that, gamers will have to wait a little longer for Caitlyn’s “makeover” to officially arrive in League of Legends.
