7 young players have been granted tickets to proceed to the Vietnamese interview round by the advisory board of “Be My BRO” after 4 weeks of continuous and intense competition. The race for an internship spot in South Korea for the Fredit Brion team is becoming increasingly fierce.
“Be My BRO” is a talent scouting program for young League of Legends players in Vietnam organized by the Fredit Brion team in collaboration with AVM and Box Sports since early September 2021. The program aims not only to promote the Fredit Brion brand to the Vietnamese audience but also to open serious internship opportunities for young talents at the team’s headquarters in Seoul, South Korea.

The advisory board of “Be My BRO” in Vietnam includes well-known names with high expertise such as commentator Văn Tùng, commentator Ling Cao Thủ, and coach of GAM Esports: JackieWind. With the internship lasting up to 2 months in Korea, “Be My BRO” has become a hot topic on many League of Legends forums. According to the advisory board, many applications were submitted, but only 20 individuals passed the initial screening.
During the selection process, many Vietnamese candidates were highly regarded by the advisory board of “Be My BRO.” “The candidates in this selection round all exhibited quick reactions and good skills. It can be said that in terms of skill level alone, Vietnamese gamers are not inferior to any region in the world.” – commentator Văn Tùng shared.

Candidates had to undergo 4 weeks of internal competition following the format of the Korean team, which included not only team competitions but also individual solo matches. The 7 best names have been sent to Korea by the advisory board members to participate in the final selection round, including: Huỳnh Nguyễn “Solis” Duy Thức, Nguyễn “loinaovetimtoi” Hữu Hưng, Đỗ “Chiling” Chí Linh, Nguyễn Vũ “Bun” Khang Nguyên, Nguyễn “Mèo Siêu Béo” Trọng Nghĩa, Trần “Ribell” Hữu Duy, and Đặng “TL” Thành Long.
Notably, among the 7 candidates, the average age is 17.5, with the youngest candidate being only 16 years old. This indicates that the young League of Legends players in Vietnam still have a lot of passion and determination to train, capable of elevating the national Esports scene to new heights.
After learning that he advanced to the final selection round in South Korea, 17-year-old SGB.TL could not hide his emotions and honestly shared: “I never thought I could make it to the interview round; during my participation, I felt I didn’t perform well enough to be chosen. Now I am very excited and looking forward to the interview opportunity from the Fredit Brion team.”
According to JackieWind – coach of GAM Esports and a member of the “Be My Bro” advisory board, in a separate interview stated: “I see a few bright names, not only in terms of skill but also game mentality and a solid understanding of tactics. The weakness of these players is their mentality and discipline. Even if the final selection round in Korea doesn’t succeed, they are still hopeful young talents for VCS in the future.”

After the Vietnamese interview round with the Vietnamese advisory board, the 7 candidates will be further filtered to participate in direct interviews with South Korea. The selected intern will have all expenses for visa, airfare, and accommodation covered during the 2-month internship at Fredit Brion’s gaming house. Here, the Vietnamese interns will be directly trained by Korean coaches and will also have the opportunity to remain with Fredit Brion’s LCK Challenger team.
