LoL: Will players Uzi, Faker, Doinb no longer face the issue of “throwing” in ranked matches in 2022?

The issue of "throwing" in solo ranked matches among top players like Uzi, Faker, Doinb is expected to be resolved this year, 2022.

In recent years, it has been sadly noted that League of Legends has seen a new form of betting emerge. Not limited to tournament matches, even the solo ranked games of professional players and notable streamers have been used as “bets”. This has led to the disturbing trend of intentionally throwing games in high-ranked matches.

The two most famous victims of this “throwing” issue are Faker and Uzi. Additionally, other professional players also frequently face game disruption, causing them significant frustration while playing ranked. Even after Riot Games Korea implemented a large account ban wave in July 2021 following Faker’s accusations, the issue of “throwing” has shown no signs of cooling down.

However, there is good news for top gamers as Doinb recently confirmed that the throwers will disappear in 2022. Specifically, in his first stream of the new year, Doinb mentioned that he heard information about high-ranked accounts that frequently disrupt games being revoked. Furthermore, the registration process for accounts on the Chinese Super Server will be tightened, so we can trust that the throwing issue will come to an end.

Doinb: “I heard that in 2022, there will no longer be game throwers at high ranks as regulations will be enforced very strictly. Currently, many suspicious accounts have already been revoked. Meanwhile, the registration process for Super Server accounts will become much more difficult, so we can trust them.”

One fact is that for many years, the primary training environment for LPL players has not been the servers in China. The reason is clear: too many throwers intentionally disrupt games, making the training process extremely challenging. Therefore, most LPL teams have opted to train on Korean servers, which provide a much cleaner environment.

Hopefully, Doinb’s insights will soon become a reality, and LPL players will no longer have to migrate to Korean servers as frequently. Instead, they will have a quality training environment similar to the Super Server in the Chinese region.
