SKT T1 Legend “Caught in the Crossfire” Due to T1 – Gumayusi Drama
As is well known, one of the most controversial dramas in the League of Legends community, especially within the LCK, is the T1 – Gumayusi – Smash incident. The story originates from the upper echelons of T1, but it has exploded within the fan community, pulling many individuals into the fray. Recently, not only current players are affected, but even retired legends of SKT T1 have been “caught in the crossfire,” specifically the “victim” being Bang.

Accordingly, when Bang expressed his surprise and praised Gumayusi’s performance in the recent match against DRX, he faced a barrage of criticism from T1Gall – the infamous anti-fan group in the LCK, whose current target is Gumayusi and anyone who shows him support. The backlash was so intense that Bang had to write an open letter affirming that he would support any player who performs well. Notably, Bang had previously praised Smash in the LCK Cup.

And T1 Remains as Usual
As a streamer for T1, Bang is naturally a member of this team. Not to mention, Bang is also a legend of SKT T1/T1 and his legacy remains. However, it can be seen that when the anti-fan sentiment has reached extreme levels, no one is exempt. This might also be one of the reasons why Faker has not made many statements regarding the Gumayusi incident.

And of course, as usual, T1 remains silent and Bang, after his open letter, has not made any further statements. Ultimately, the anti-Gumayusi sentiment did not just stop at criticizing him but was also ready to attack anyone who praised or supported him, even if they were legends of SKT T1 like Bang. This reality once again proves that, despite T1 being a prestigious and powerful team, they remain helpless in protecting their members from the wave of criticism from the community.
