T1 Has to Compete Without Proper Cohesion
Recently, T1 and Gen.G delivered a thrilling BO3 match that captivated fans of both teams and the League of Legends community as a whole, despite T1’s defeat. This match showcased everything from technical skills to individual brilliance. However, there was a surprising truth that T1 fans realized afterward: This was only the 4th official match for the HJFGK roster, also known as the main lineup announced by T1 at the start of the season.

With T1 making controversial roster decisions during the LCK Cup 2025, resulting in Gumayusi being benched for nearly the entire season, Gen.G was also a top-tier opponent that HJFGK had the chance to face. In reality, Dplus KIA has been on a downward trend since the group stage of the LCK Cup 2025, returning to their familiar ups and downs, while Gen.G continues to strengthen. As the meta shifts, this team could very well reclaim their dominant position in the LCK.

Therefore, in the match against Gen.G, it is understandable that some T1 players did not perform seamlessly. Gumayusi, in particular, has put in significant effort. He has not played officially for nearly 3 months and has likely just returned to scrimming recently. However, statistics show that Gumayusi currently has the best performance among AD carries after the first week of LCK matches.

Responsibility Lies With T1’s Upper Management
Needless to say, everyone understands that this issue lies with T1’s upper management. They are the ones who made the substitutions, leading T1 to finish in the top 6 of the LCK Cup 2025. They also caused the main roster to have too little time to practice together, especially after losing Zeus during the 2025 season.

Ultimately, it is the players and fans who suffer the most, while T1’s coaching staff creates an invisible pressure that “Gumayusi can be benched at any time.” This is entirely unnecessary, especially given the numerous changes this season and the fact that every team is ready to defeat T1 if given the chance.
