LCK Spring 2022 is just a few days away from officially kicking off, and it is considered one of the most promising seasons full of excitement. The reason is that most teams, including top teams like T1 and Gen.G Esports, have made changes to their rosters. Notably, some teams such as DWG KIA, Gen.G, Nongshim RedForce, and Hanwha Life Esports have nearly revamped their entire lineup.

However, while T1 and Gen.G are widely regarded by most LCK teams as contenders for the Spring 2022 championship, another name, which is the current champion of this region – DK, seems to be “overlooked”. Despite almost a complete roster change, DK has managed to retain the duo of ShowMaker and Canyon, so underestimating this team may lead to many incorrect assessments. Moreover, deokdam – DK’s new ADC replacing Ghost has already proven his talent in the LCK. Not to mention, playing alongside deokdam is his close teammate Kellin from Nongshim RedForce, and this duo significantly contributed to NS’s fourth-place finish in the LCK Summer 2021.

However, recently Coach Daeny himself confirmed that DK… is indeed weak. Specifically, according to this coach, he is not satisfied with DK’s current lineup and believes that this is a “not perfect” DK. The former T1 coach commented: “Both new players have many shortcomings. Burdol is not strong in facing off or trading abilities. Hoya is strong in this area but still needs to improve in other aspects.”

It can be said that DK at this point is probably the weakest DK since this team began competing at the highest level of League of Legends in Korea. After unsuccessful negotiations with Nuguri or Canna, DK currently has a relatively weak side compared to their own performance in the 2021 season or against other top teams at this time. However, DK and their players must adapt quickly because the season is about to start, and Coach Daeny no longer has many names at his disposal to implement his continuous rotation strategy like he did at T1.
