Right after the conclusion of VCS Winter 2021, SBTC Esports immediately took the first steps toward restructuring. 4 out of 5 of the regular starters from the “Pink Chick” team had to say goodbye, including: Hiro02, Penguin, Artifact, and CBL.

The departure of Hiro02 and Artifact was not too surprising as Hiro02 did not perform notably while Artifact had barely stepped on the stage throughout the recent VCS Winter 2021. As for CBL, he could no longer maintain his previous form. Among these, Penguin left the most questions as he had a fairly good start to the season and was one of the standout factors for SE, alongside Celebrity.
In recent days, information has continuously emerged that SE has been urgently finalizing their roster for the new season. On the well-known League of Legends community site Lolpedia, a series of names have been confirmed to join SE. Typically, once this information site has confirmed, the deal is considered finalized. However, most SE fans hope for official announcements to feel more assured.

And just hours ago, SE announced their first two names: DNK and Spot. Notably, both are strong personalities. DNK is no stranger to the League of Legends community as he has been one of the pillars of Team Secret for quite some time. In the recent VCS Winter 2021, it was the first time DNK truly became the spearhead of “Hidden Religion” and his performance wasn’t great. However, the “thief prince” has always been a talented jungler, and as long as the pressure of responsibility is lifted from him, allowing him to focus on his main job, DNK can regain his former form. Previously, he had a “very spicy” trash talk aimed at former coach Tinikun – now SE’s current partner.

As for Spot, he is famous for the drama when he was with GAM Esports. For those who may not know, Spot was once called GAM’s “black sheep” due to numerous actions such as: sabotaging GAM’s practice sessions with foreign partners, urging members to leave the gaming house, spreading false information affecting GAM… The VCS organizers had to issue a penalty for Spot and GAM announced they would require this player to compensate for the damages.

Not only that, recently, Spot was also called out by LCK fans for his toxic behavior while climbing ranks and was penalized by his then team, VietSun Esports.

SE fans are also worried about Spot’s case.

However, both Spot and DNK are now members of SE. The “black sheep” of GAM has also previously expressed a desire to compete in the VCS again. Therefore, many “Pink Chick” fans hope that Spot will be more professional after past mistakes, to avoid SBTC continuing to become a “circus” or “the team of penalties” like in the recent past.
