Vietnam to Feature Game Combining with Đông Sơn Culture?
Đông Sơn culture is a prominent archaeological culture of ancient Vietnamese people, existing from around 1000 BC to the 1st century AD, flourishing in the Red River Delta and spreading throughout northern and central Vietnam. This is the period when the Lạc Việt people reached a high level in agriculture, metallurgy, architecture, and worship.
The most prominent symbol of Đông Sơn culture is the bronze drum – a masterpiece of bronze art that serves both ritual purposes and signifies power. Additionally, there are figures such as warriors, war boats, Lạc birds, weapons, and richly symbolic patterns.

Recently, a Vietnamese author revealed the first images of their project combining Đông Sơn culture with gaming, specifically in the trending action role-playing game genre in an open world.

The Community is Excited About the Vietnamese Game Project Featuring Đông Sơn Culture
Below the author’s post, there are many praises for the representation of images rich in Vietnamese culture, such as village gates, water buffalo, and traditional clothing of young women in ancient times. Of course, the game is still in the design phase and follows a fantasy style, so the scenes and character designs in the game may lean towards a more mystical and vibrant direction compared to reality.

According to the author, the game’s graphics will be in 3D and the gameplay will combine role-playing and action in an open world. However, currently, the images only represent the initial sketches and a brief introduction. The author has not yet announced gameplay or the specific title of this game.
The game project not only aims to recreate Đông Sơn culture but, if successful, could also affirm that Vietnamese culture and Vietnamese game developers are capable of creating works that not only attract gamers but also reflect an ancient culture of Vietnam, contributing to spreading traditional Vietnamese values to the world.
