As we know, on January 26th, SofM’s Weibo Gaming and his teammates secured a rather hard-fought victory against Victory Five. The brightest star on the WBG side was SofM, as the Vietnamese “jungle god” managed to go two consecutive games without being taken down, helping his team clinch the win. Additionally, we also saw TheShy’s adaptation to the new team as he accepted playing Sion to protect his teammates.
However, the third game in the aforementioned match could have been less arduous for Weibo Gaming if TheShy had not fallen victim to a game bug, resulting in him being robbed of a kill. Specifically, while reviewing game 3, SofM’s close friend kRYST4L asserted that TheShy should have had a trade with Rich at the 12th minute of the match. However, Riot’s system malfunctioned and failed to register the damage dealt by the Bami’s Cinder, causing TheShy to lose a kill.

If the aforementioned situation had resulted in a trade for TheShy, his item progression would surely have been quicker. Of course, with a tank champion like Sion, one kill wouldn’t have increased TheShy’s damage significantly, but it would have been enough to help him mitigate the power growth of Rich’s Aatrox. The reality has shown that Rich is a formidable Aatrox player and posed a lot of difficulties for WBG in this match.

Essentially, the error mentioned above isn’t too severe as it did not change the course of the match, and WBG still came out victorious in the end. However, in a different scenario, such a robbed kill could create a significant difference between winning or losing and directly impact the match result. Perhaps it’s time for Riot to thoroughly review their champions and items to ensure they function accurately and avoid unfortunate bugs like this.
