As of now, TFT Season 6 is gradually coming to a close. With it being regarded as one of the best seasons Riot has ever brought to gamers, TFT Season 6 has fulfilled its mission beautifully. One of the factors that made TFT Season 6 so beloved is the introduction of the Augment system. This new mechanism allows players to mitigate some of the spam deck issues and unleash creativity with the Augments they acquire during gameplay.

And of course, as is customary, TFT Season 6.5 will bring a lot of changes for players. However, in general, these changes largely pertain to the traits and champions that were present in Season 6. The good news is that the Augment system will remain unchanged in Season 6.5. But when it comes to champions and traits, there have been some significant alterations. Among them, the most noteworthy is Vi.

This is because TFT Season 6 was built on many factors, including the exploration of the relationship between Vi and Jinx, leading to a rather unique mechanic called the Sister trait. With this trait, when both Vi and Jinx are on the board, Jinx will gain increased attack speed while Vi’s skill will extend its area of effect by 2 tiles.
However, moving into TFT Season 6.5, Riot is again tapping into the Vi-Jinx relationship following the conflict phase depicted in Riot’s debut series – Arcane. From the Sister trait, Vi and Jinx will transition to the Rival trait. This new trait will activate only when either Vi or Jinx is on the board. With Vi, she will have a 20% energy reduction to use her skill when the trait is activated. Meanwhile, Jinx will gain a 40% attack speed boost for 3 seconds after defeating an enemy champion.

Additionally, Vi will be upgraded to a 4-gold champion, and in a leaked clip, her new skill set seems quite “overpowered” with 3 different mechanics. In her first skill use, Vi will create a shield. In her second, she will dash through and deal damage to all enemies in her dash range. In her third skill use, which is quite similar to Sett: Vi grabs an enemy, jumps up, and slams the enemy down, dealing area damage.
It can be said that Vi will become an extremely powerful champion in the new season if the revealed skill set along with the accompanying trait remains unchanged. Similarly to Sett, Vi’s itemization will also be diverse, allowing for either energy buff builds to enable her to use her skills continuously or damage builds for each skill use, both of which are perfect. Not to mention, with a price of 4 gold and not needing Jinx (who costs 5 gold) to be strong, Vi will be even more favored than in the current Season 6.
