At this moment, most LPL fans are eagerly awaiting to see Uzi truly return to the highest level League of Legends tournament in China. The comeback announcement was made long ago, and he has found a new home at Bilibili Gaming, but so far, Uzi has not played a single minute. The management of BLG has not provided any information about Uzi, and the only way to see him play League of Legends is through his daily rank climbing.

However, even without stepping onto the battlefield, just climbing ranks has caused controversy for Uzi. Recently, he made the Chinese League of Legends community “split into factions.” Specifically, during a rank game, he was teamed up with Scout – the mid-laner of EDward Gaming and the defending champion of Worlds 2021. Scout played Gwen in the top lane while Uzi took the new champion Zeri to mid lane. The two players had a tough game and ended up losing.
Perhaps out of frustration from the loss, and maybe because Uzi did not realize he was playing with Scout, at the end of the game, the “Super Marksman” of BLG reported Scout. Uzi even claimed that Gwen (played by Scout) did not want to win and suggested that Gwen “is an actor” (referring to players who cheat or intentionally lose while climbing ranks).
Of course, this has left the LPL community dissatisfied. Uzi, despite being a legend, had a very subjective opinion, and even if he lost, accusing someone of cheating is completely unfounded. Not to mention, Scout is currently with EDG, the pride of the entire LPL. Although he does not hold Chinese citizenship, he and his teammates brought the World Championship trophy back to the LPL after a season dominated by LCK. Moreover, during their journey, EDG defeated two teams from LCK in the playoffs and had a 1-1 result against T1 in the group stage. To defend Scout, LPL fans have even turned against Uzi. Many opinions suggest that the former Royal Never Give Up star is too bitter about losing, showing poor character by slandering others like this.

Not yet able to return to professional LPL, but Uzi is leaving a bad impression. This is entirely detrimental to this legend. Especially when, if he can step onto the field, such behaviors from Uzi will become a target for fans’ attacks, putting pressure on him in case BLG has unfavorable results.
