In the League of Legends scene, as of now, there’s probably no one unfamiliar with the name Faker – a monument to this game in particular and to Esports in general. Not only is he a legendary figure in League of Legends, but Faker is also known for his calm and composed demeanor both in matches and when climbing ranks. It can be said that fans rarely witness Faker truly losing his temper with anyone, even though not every ranked match or official game goes smoothly.

However, recently, Faker truly had to “lose it” when encountering a teammate who was “throwing the game.” Specifically, in a ranked match, Faker teamed up with Burdol from DWG KIA, and the T1 captain used Veigar quite dominantly against the opponent. But things gradually spiraled out of control when the Caitlyn on Faker’s team not only failed to contribute but also continued to feed relentlessly. By the end of the match, Caitlyn’s KDA was 0/10/2, leaving Faker with nothing but helpless remarks.
Immediately, the “Demon King” did not hesitate to “gift” Caitlyn 2 report tickets. Furthermore, Faker also criticized the Caitlyn player live on stream: “I’ve encountered game throwers like this before and reported them years ago. Why are people like this not banned from the game entirely?”. Such actions clearly show that Faker was genuinely frustrated by encountering this kind of game-throwing situation.
But perhaps Faker didn’t know that the Caitlyn he was playing with was actually a Marksman competing in the LPL, wearing the colors of Oh My God – Able. He is not exactly a highly skilled name, despite having once played for Royal Never Give Up and was even considered a potential “heir to Uzi.” Currently, his team OMG is positioned in the lower half of the LPL Spring 2022 standings with a record of 4 wins – 5 losses.

As a professional player climbing ranks alongside Faker but lacking seriousness, if Faker had known the identity of the Caitlyn player, the “Demon King” would likely have been even more upset. The behavior of throwing games, in any form, should be strongly condemned. Being a professional player, Able should understand this better than anyone, and the criticisms directed at him currently are probably not unjustified at all.
