As we know, on March 3rd, a member of the League of Legends gameplay design team – Riot Phlox, shared important information regarding Rengar’s rework. Essentially, Riot’s adjustments aim to enhance the ability to maintain stacks of Ferocity and the passive ability, Bone Tooth Necklace. Additionally, updates related to the Q ability – Savagery will help Rengar build critical strike items to deal better damage.

However, when applied to the test server, players discovered that Rengar has the ability to “one shot” everything with the “new” Q – Savagery. Not just jungle monsters or minions, even champions, structures, and major objectives like Dragons and Baron can be effortlessly eliminated by Rengar with just one press of Q.

According to the bug expert Vandiril, it’s unclear why the additional damage based on critical strike ratio in Q can reach 10,000%. Meanwhile, according to Riot Phlox’s announcement, that damage should only increase by 1% of the critical strike ratio; even if you build full critical strike items, you would only gain an additional 100 damage. As a result, when building full critical strike items on the PBE server, the “new” Rengar can deal tens or even hundreds of thousands of critical damage.

This is clearly a severe bug, and if it is applied in the official 12.6 patch, it will cause a significant imbalance. There’s nothing more frustrating than being “one shot” by an opponent wielding a Purple Cloak or Twin Blades. We hope Riot Games will quickly resolve this bug and restore the original damage ratio for Rengar.
