Earlier this March, when League of Legends updated to patch 12.5, Riot Games also announced plans to upgrade and lightly rework the champion Rengar in the next update (12.6). The goal of this rework is to better satisfy players and create a certain smoothness when executing combos with this champion. Furthermore, Riot also aims to open up a critical playstyle for Rengar by turning the empowered attack from Q – Savagery into a critical hit.

Hearing this, everything seems quite normal, but when players directly tested the “new” Rengar, they noticed something was off. The issue doesn’t stem from Rengar’s basic skills, but rather from the fact that this character suddenly has the ability to literally “hack the map.” Somehow, after a few skirmishes with enemy champions early in the game, Rengar revealed all enemy champions without needing to use his ultimate.
In League of Legends, vision is incredibly important, so being able to see all enemy team positions like this without doing anything is quite unreasonable. Moreover, Rengar is an assassin with extremely high damage, and this “feature” allows him to consistently take down the enemy team’s carries, regardless of their positioning or location. Clearly, this is another unfair aspect that arises when Rengar has such a bug.

Luckily, this bug has only occurred on the PBE server, and version 12.6 will be tested there for a month. Therefore, there is still plenty of time for Riot to fix this issue. Hopefully, they will soon adjust the “new” Rengar and eliminate the unfair feature mentioned above before applying it to the official server.
