New champions in League of Legends are always an extremely hot topic as Riot seeks to introduce new mechanics, features, and characters. Moreover, each newly released character opens up exciting stories about the League universe and intriguing interactions with other champions. Therefore, information about these new characters always attracts significant attention from the community.

Recently, a piece of information has spread like wildfire regarding two new champions in League of Legends named Rem’Ora and Yonathan. This information originated from a leak posted by a dataminer named Big Bad Bear on Twitter. Specifically, this individual shared a list of champions that would receive new skins from various skin lines such as Cowboy, Stealth, and Cosmic Guardian… Among these, two names, Rem’Ora and Yonathan, were spotted, leading to speculation about new champions.

However, upon closer inspection, we can see that this is a false list and not a preview of upcoming skins. If we look at the last skins in the list, we can easily notice that the author has used suggestive terms related to sensitive body parts for the names of skins for Ezreal, Aphelios, and others. Clearly, Riot would never do such a thing, so these skin names are false, and the names Rem’Ora and Yonathan do not exist.

Perhaps because so many people believed in this list, dataminer Big Bad Bear later had to come out and clarify. Essentially, this skin list was not created by Big Bad Bear, and he only posted it for fun. This dataminer also confirmed that it is a false list and does not contain accurate information that he found.

As of now, we only have one piece of information about new champions: Riot Games will reveal it at the beginning of April in a champion development roadmap article. Additionally, other information is merely for “fun viewing.” As seen in this case, even dataminers can create ways to “prank” the community, so gamers should perhaps only trust official information from Riot.
