In the world of League of Legends, most attention focuses on the four Major leagues including LPL, LCK, LEC, and LCS. These are also the four regions with the most developed League of Legends scene and Esports in general. Moreover, the matches here showcase superior quality, from player skill to team organization. In fact, in LCK and LPL, domestic League of Legends tournaments can be just as overwhelming as MSI or the World Championship.

However, this does not mean that smaller regions should be overlooked. For instance, in VCS – a region often considered the underdog in the League of Legends scene. Nevertheless, Vietnamese League of Legends teams still garner a significant amount of attention from the international community. Players like Levi and SofM hail from VCS, yet are quite familiar faces to global LoL fans. Notably, SofM is the first Vietnamese player to compete in the World Championship finals. Additionally, VCS consistently delivers matches characterized by aggressive, fiery gameplay, which has led many to believe that VCS matches are always very engaging and entertaining.

Recently, the LoL community was thrilled to watch a match from another smaller region, specifically a tournament in Brazil. In the playoffs of the CBLOL, players from FURIA Esports and RED Canids engaged in an intense “battle rap” right in the match while both teams’ Nexus remained intact.
The situation began during a split push by Gwen from FUR while RED was securing Baron. Although FUR managed to steal Baron, all four of their members were taken down. Gwen from FUR was aggressively split pushing from the bottom lane but could not withstand RED’s overwhelming strength. Throughout their plays, the FUR and RED players continuously shouted at each other until the game concluded with RED emerging victorious.
The LoL community was naturally delighted by the fiery spirit of the players in CBLOL. Most opinions suggested that this kind of atmosphere is truly exciting and will draw more attention to League of Legends tournaments in smaller regions.

Of course, after the match, both teams remained in good spirits. FUR had to bow out while RED went on to defeat KaBuM! e-Sports to advance to the championship finals and secure a spot at MSI 2022 in Busan soon.
