Corki
In patch 12.7, Riot Games implemented a significant buff for the Yordle trait, increasing the energy reduction to 30%. This change will allow units with versatile or tanky characteristics like Lulu, Vex, and Poppy to become extremely powerful in mid-game due to their ability to cast spells continuously. This is a worthy trade-off for the 6 Yordles threshold since these champions are not very strong when standing alone.

However, this change will become extremely unbalanced when you use Corki as the main carry since this unit can cast spells continuously, dealing massive damage and being overly powerful when not countered. Therefore, Riot Games had to nerf the damage of the Missile Barrage ability at all three levels, so this situation will no longer occur. Additionally, this is a reasonable nerf for the rising Sniper composition that has become a significant force by the end of patch 12.6.
Sivir
If you remember, last Sunday, the Teamfight Tactics project director – Riot Mortdog announced the changes for patch 12.7, and there were no nerfs aimed at Sivir. However, in the past three days, the Attack composition has rapidly strengthened as players found ways to leverage Sivir’s power. As a result, the Attack composition has become incredibly strong with an outrageous top 4 placement rate.

Therefore, Riot Games had to urgently implement a series of updates targeting Sivir to reduce the dominance of this unit. Specifically, Riot will reduce the bounce damage and bonus attack speed when Sivir uses her ability. Remember that in patch 12.6, Sivir was already nerfed in attack speed for this ability, so the power of this piece will become even weaker in the upcoming patch. Perhaps if you can’t get a 2-star Sivir early, this unit will struggle to “carry the team” in the upcoming patch.
Talon
With the nerf to Talon’s damage and VIP effect in patch 12.6, Riot seemed satisfied and did not reduce the power of this unit in the announcement last Sunday. However, the Assassin composition continues to prove to be an excessively effective ranking strategy as Talon remains a strong main carry thanks to his mixed damage capability. Moreover, with the support of the meta, Talon suddenly becomes an exceptionally effective counter to Jhin, Sivir, and others.

Recognizing this oversight, Riot decided to implement a nerf for Talon in the official patch. Specifically, this unit will have its base armor and magic resistance reduced by 5, making Talon’s early game power not excessively dominant anymore. However, this is not necessarily a game-changing nerf that will cause Talon to disappear from the meta. Talon may weaken slightly during the reroll phase to reach 3 stars, but afterward, this unit remains an incredibly strong carry.
