As we are all too familiar, League of Legends is riddled with many bugs that can appear with any champion. This is quite normal for a game with so many characters, items, and accompanying elements like LoL. However, most of these bugs are minor and occur infrequently, so they do not significantly impact the player experience.

Therefore, when a champion is disabled from ranked mode, we understand that the character is experiencing a severe issue. The latest champion to be completely disabled from ranked mode for Riot to fix is Bard. The Cosmic Chord has been discovered to easily cause the entire player base in a match to crash.
This bug occurs when the champion is moving using the E ability – Magical Journey but is unexpectedly blocked. Specifically, when you click on E – Magical Journey of Bard, but you collide with an object on the path, and cannot proceed like Trundle’s Ice Pillar or Anivia’s Glacial Storm, all players in that game will crash instantly. Even after crashing, players are unable to reconnect.

What’s noteworthy here is that this bug is very easy to execute and can be exploited to avoid a ranked loss. Imagine your team is winning significantly, with both Baron and Elder Dragon, and the opposing team uses this bug to crash the game, erasing the match history and costing you a victory. That would be an incredibly frustrating experience, which is why Riot Games had to step in and disable Bard to prevent such misuse of the bug from occurring.

Hopefully, Riot Games will quickly fix the issue and allow Bard to return to ranked mode as soon as possible. After all, he is still an incredibly interesting champion with a unique playstyle, and it would be a shame if he were locked out for an extended period.
