Recently, some images of the CKTG skins from EDward Gaming have surfaced, delighting the League of Legends community. Based on the revealed information, the EDG CKTG skin series will feature a gothic-fantasy style combined with Chinese culture and traditions. Additionally, it will clearly reflect the style of the owner. For instance, the skin for Yuumi was reportedly requested by Meiko to Riot based on his own cat.

On the evening of April 26 (Vietnam time), the five EDG CKTG skins officially landed on the PBE server, exciting the League of Legends community. There were no changes from the leaked images, but that didn’t stop the community from eagerly exploring the details surrounding the skin group. Notably, numerous Easter Eggs were intricately embedded within the skins, further thrilling LoL fans.
First up is Flandre’s Graves skin. Those who regularly follow this player will know his nickname at LPL is “The Holy Gunner,” which refers to Lucian. Therefore, in the recall animation, Flandre’s Graves pulls out two of Lucian’s guns but then sets them aside to hold the CKTG trophy. In his other hand, keen fans noticed it is actually a lightstick of (G)I-dle. For those who don’t know, Flandre is a huge fan of this group. The group’s singer, Yuqi, even made a video wishing Flandre a happy birthday.
Next is Jiejie’s Viego skin. In the recall animation of this champion, Viego is seen planting the Undying Sword in the Raptor camp. Additionally, five ticks will appear above this champion’s head. Among them, ticks 1, 4, and 5 symbolize EDG’s three victories against DWG KIA and Gen.G Esports in the semifinals. Some LPL fans pointed out that Viego’s appearance in the Raptor camp is inspired by the jungle style that Clearlove frequently used in the past. The former EDG star had a habit of placing the jungle camp in a position where opponents would have to trade lives if they wanted to contest it. This is also a jungle method that many junglers from EDG have “learned” from then on.

Meanwhile, Scout’s Zoe moved many League of Legends fans as they reflected on the hard journey of the former SKT T1 star. Scout had to endure four CKTG appearances to finally touch the championship. In his recall animation, Zoe is seen chasing a gem four times, ultimately transforming it into the CKTG trophy. Meiko’s Yuumi, besides being his beloved cat, has an R ability that symbolizes Meiko’s journey through six CKTG appearances. He is the only player among the five who has been with EDG since the very beginning.

Alongside the EDG 2021 CKTG skin series filled with cleverly hidden Easter Eggs, Riot also released a Cowboy skin series and the EDG Champion Kha’Zix skin on the same night.

These skins are expected to appear in the upcoming 12.9 patch if nothing changes. According to the evaluations from the League of Legends community, these might be one of the best CKTG skin collections, worthy of fans “donating blood” to Riot.
