After the conclusion of the LPL Spring 2022 tournament, we can definitively say Uzi was the biggest disappointment of this season. When news broke about Uzi’s return, fans hoped for a “god” to carry the team, serving as the focal point of the gameplay and leading BLG to glory. However, in reality, Uzi was nearly absent throughout the past season, playing only a few matches and completely losing his position to Doggo. Additionally, Uzi faced quite a few “scandals” for poor performance in solo queue.

In the latest development, internal issues within BLG continue to surface, revealing that Uzi is currently quite difficult to approach. Specifically, in a recent stream by BLG’s support player, Crisp, he disclosed that he faced considerable challenges in communicating and understanding Uzi’s gameplay. In fact, when given the choice, Crisp preferred not to be neighbors with Uzi in real life, even though Uzi is not lacking in wealth.

BLG Crisp: “You know, recently I’ve been considering buying a house after saving up a decent amount. What do you mean? Be neighbors with Uzi? No thanks, his house is in a very luxurious area, and the cost of living is extremely high in Shanghai. I could buy a house there too, but the living expenses would be unbearable.”
“What can I say about Uzi? He doesn’t seem to open up much to communicate and understand us, nor does he allow the team to understand him. There were days Uzi left the BLG gaming house without anyone knowing because he didn’t tell anyone. That day there wasn’t even any practice scheduled, but it surprised me. Usually, when we want to go out to eat, we all inform the manager.”

With his “huge” income from his fame, it’s quite understandable that Uzi can live comfortably in an expensive metropolis like Shanghai. However, for other less prominent players, specifically Crisp, this is quite difficult, making it nearly impossible to be neighbors with Uzi.
Returning to the competition issue, Uzi’s reluctance to communicate with his teammates may explain why he played so little in the LPL Spring 2022. Clearly, with Uzi on the team, BLG wanted to leverage this talent and get him to play. Only in unavoidable circumstances where Uzi couldn’t integrate with the BLG squad would it lead to his long-term benching as seen in the past season.

It is unclear which team Uzi will join in the upcoming LPL Summer season to continue competing. Currently, there have been some rumors about Uzi joining V5 or JDG, but all have been denied.
