On June 5th, yet another transfer news in VCS has stirred the Vietnamese League of Legends community. Specifically, ADC Divkid has officially left GAM Esports after nearly a year with the team. Divkid joined GAM during the mid-season transfer period in 2021.

Although he wasn’t the number one choice for the ADC position of the reigning VCS Spring 2022 champions, Divkid always showed great effort every time he played. With GAM, he achieved the runner-up position in VCS Winter 2021, won the VCS Spring 2022 championship, and earned a gold medal at SEA Games 31 in League of Legends.

Underneath the farewell post for Divkid, the VCS community jokingly remarked that without the “trash talk king”, GAM has lost “50% of its power”. Additionally, on the same day, Divkid also posted a heartfelt letter thanking GAM, from the coaching staff to his teammates and fans. He affirmed that he would continue to support GAM on their journey ahead, even though they would no longer be together.

Divkid’s next destination is likely to be Genius Esports. Although there has been no official announcement from the former ADC or the GE team, the Global Contract Database (GCD) on Lol.fandom provided this information a few days ago. Furthermore, according to GCD, if Divkid does join GE, he will face significant competition from Slayder, an equally talented and experienced ADC.

As for GAM, having parted ways with Divkid, the VCS Spring 2022 champions will only have Sty1e remaining in the ADC position. However, it is likely that GAM will not bring in any new names for this position. Firstly, a newcomer will almost certainly not have enough time to compete with Sty1e for the main position, from adapting to the team to coordinating with Bie. Secondly, there aren’t many quality ADCs currently available in VCS.

Therefore, it is highly likely that GAM will only compete with one ADC in VCS Summer 2022 and potentially at the 2022 World Championship if this team secures a spot to participate.
