It has only been nearly 2 days since Teamfight Tactics season 7 officially launched for the gaming community, but this game mode has already received a lot of feedback from players. Many of these are quite positive reviews about the new season. This season also features significant changes with the introduction of new Augments and several new champions at relatively high costs.

However, some names that are “dominating” in TFT season 7 are not the 5-cost champions like Bard, Soraka, or the Dragon champions that cost between 8 – 10 gold. The champions that are proving to be more “overpowered” compared to the rest are actually those that are very cheap. Specifically, in this case, it is Nami – a champion belonging to the Celestial – Sorcerer – Mystic traits. At just 2 gold, Nami is haunting many players.

Specifically, this champion has the ability to deal damage while also providing healing. Notably, both the damage and the amount of healing from this ability are quite large (damage 175/225/275 and healing 275/300/325). If anyone thinks these numbers are too small, remember, Nami only costs 2 gold and the Celestial trait allows players to have the chance to roll for Celestial champions. In other words: Nami is very easy to reach 3 stars, and just by adding items that provide Ability Power, this champion and her nearby allies become nearly invincible.

The complaints from players about a 2 gold champion being able to disrupt the entire Exodia team have reached Riot. Immediately, on the night of June 10 (Vietnam time), Riot took urgent action to nerf Nami. Specifically, Riot Mortdog – the “father” of TFT announced that Nami’s damage would be nerfed to 100/150/200 respectively. With a reduction of 75 damage points, it can be said that this is quite a strong hit to this champion.

In addition to Nami, 2 other champions also received urgent nerfs: Varus and Sylas. While Varus had his attack speed reduced and the amount of mana needed to cast his ability increased, after this adjustment, Sylas, who was creating shields, can no longer accumulate energy. With the previous ability to not be energy-locked while having a shield, Sylas was considered one of the top-tier tanks in TFT season 7.

These nerfs are quite significant and may make it difficult for these champions to find their place in team compositions in the upcoming times. Nevertheless, Riot’s actions have been warmly supported by the community as it shows that this publisher is genuinely concerned about its TFT players.
