On the evening of July 12th (Vietnam time), Riot launched the next installment of the Star Guardian skin series from 2022. These new Star Guardian champions continue the storyline of one of the most colorful and heavily invested skin groups in the history of League of Legends (LoL). Initially starting with a very limited number of champions, the Star Guardian skin line has been revitalized and embraced by the LoL community.

In this installment, five champions will don the Star Guardian skins, including Rell, Akali, Morgana, Quinn, and finally, Syndra. Among them, Syndra will have a Prestige skin. Compared to previous Star Guardian skin groups, the primary color palette of this installment will be darker, featuring deep pink, deep purple, blue, and green combined with black.

Notably, among the champions showcasing the Star Guardian skins this time, two names have almost vanished from professional LoL matches: Quinn and Rell. While Rell is still occasionally used in some tournaments like the VCS or LCS, Quinn has nearly disappeared entirely. This champion hasn’t even appeared on the list of champions needing a rework for a chance to return. Not only Rell and Quinn but even Morgana is a name that rarely appears in professional matches.
Nevertheless, this installment of the Star Guardian skins has still received high praise from the LoL player community. Particularly, through the splash arts of the champions, the community has shown great appreciation for this skin group. According to many opinions, Riot has significantly improved the design of the Star Guardian skins for this group of champions, at least regarding the skin splash arts.

– “Morgana Star Guardian is really amazing!”
– “I just wonder when Riot will finally bring Orianna Star Guardian into the PC version?”
– “Quinn’s Star Guardian skin is everything I could hope for”
– “Rell looks stunning, I love her Recall effect.”
With the storyline of the Star Guardians being extended, the LoL community can look forward to more new names appearing in the future. For now, the skins of Syndra, Morgana… will likely only debut in the upcoming patch 12.14 that Riot will deliver to the community soon.
