Gumayusi confidently claims he is superior to the best AD carries currently in the LCK.

Just a few hours ago, in a match of the second round of the LCK Summer 2022 group stage, T1 faced off against Fredit BRION (BRO). This can be considered the weakest opponent in this year’s LCK Summer tournament, and undoubtedly, Faker and his teammates had no other goal but to win. In fact, it had to be the most convincing victory possible.

However, BRO truly showed great determination when facing Faker and his teammates. In fact, this team, currently at the bottom of the LCK Summer 2022 standings, was the one that took the lead after the first game, thanks to the excellent performance of all five players, especially “Sir” Morgan against Zeus. The only issue was that in games 2 and 3, they lacked the guts to finish off T1. Faker and his teammates successfully came from behind to win 2-1 overall.

After this victory, even though he was not the standout player, and despite making several mistakes in positioning and plays, AD Carry Gumayusi was still very confident during the interview. Specifically, the 2002-born player stated firmly: “There are three AD Carries currently scoring extremely high on the leaderboard for outstanding performances this season. They are Aiming, Ruler, and Prince. But I believe I am better than all three of them. Of course, I won’t just say it, I’ll prove it through my actions. So, in the upcoming matches, I will focus and annihilate every opponent.”

Of course, T1 fans and the LCK community are no strangers to Gumayusi’s bold statements. The T1 AD Carry is known for making shocking declarations, regardless of whether T1 is winning or losing and regardless of whether his performances are actually good or not. And Gumayusi himself has faced criticism at times for his overly confident remarks.

In Summer 2022, Gumayusi and Keria are no longer the formidable bottom lane duo they were in Spring earlier this year. Both have not performed particularly well. At times, Gumayusi has even become a critical weak point for T1.

But still, confidence is an important factor, especially when facing strong opponents. And fans certainly hope Gumayusi can back up his words with actions. Because only when he and his teammates focus and shine, can T1 secure a title this Summer.
