Thus, the League of Legends version 12.14 has arrived on the domestic server as of yesterday morning. To assist players in climbing the ranks effectively, in line with the current optimal strategies (abbreviated as Meta), we will introduce you to 10 champions across 5 different positions.

10. Vex – Mid Lane

In the 10th position is Vex, a champion that was buffed in patch 12.13. In this patch, Vex received a boost to her Q ability by interacting with ability power and had a 1-second cooldown reduction at all levels. As a result, Vex excels and becomes incredibly strong, possessing both fast burst damage and sustained power over time.

In patch 12.14, Vex remains strong with a win rate of over 52%. When playing Vex, make sure to farm well to achieve a high creep score.

9. Kog’Maw – Marksman

After Riot Games increased his base health and scaling armor/magic resistance, Kog’Maw has become stronger thanks to his kit that counters tank champions. In this version 12.14, with tank champions becoming stronger and fighters weakening, Kog’Maw feels right at home, fitting perfectly into the Meta.

Although Kog’Maw was nerfed in the previous patch, he is still very viable as fighters are becoming weaker, while tank champions are losing effectiveness. Currently, Kog’Maw boasts a win rate of 52.3% in the bot lane, a quite impressive figure. To play Kog’Maw effectively, you need to ensure a good laning phase early on and it’s even better to pair with a support mage.

8. Janna – Support

Janna is the strongest support mage in this patch, possessing significant healing and shielding abilities, especially with her interactions with various items. Janna has a relatively weak laning phase, so players need to focus on defending the lane while poking enemies to relieve pressure on teammates. Once equipped with some items, Janna becomes increasingly strong with her continuous shielding. Just by staying alive, she can create many impactful moments in team fights. Although she is just a support, she can truly carry the team. Currently, Janna has a win rate of 53%.

7. Mordekaiser – Top Lane

Mordekaiser has been nerfed but remains strong. The reason Mordekaiser has returned to the Meta is due to increased health and armor/magic resistance scaling, making it easier to hold the lane and more dangerous in team fights. Therefore, Mordekaiser excels in the top lane despite the nerf to his passive.

Mordekaiser in the top lane has some significant weaknesses, especially before level 6. At that point, his trading ability and damage output are limited, often losing to opponents. However, Mordekaiser becomes stronger with 2-3 major items, being both tanky and able to deal damage in team fights. Moreover, this champion’s itemization is highly rated. Mordekaiser currently has a win rate of 52.5%.

6. Master Yi – Jungle

A newly rising champion named Master Yi. After being buffed, Yi has become a dominant force across all servers, including Vietnam. Yi can now select angles to cast Alpha Strike, giving players more control. Additionally, Yi has had a significant cooldown reduction on Meditate (W), allowing players to actively reduce the opponent’s attack potential.

Easy to play and rewarding, with absolute power through basic attacks, Yi is becoming a favorite among gamers worldwide. Yi’s current win rate is nearly 53%, making him very strong in the jungle position.

5. Swain – Mid Lane

Swain is currently the strongest champion in the mid lane, attributed to a significant reduction in healing reduction stats. Now, Swain is both a carry champion and can support teammates with various crowd control effects, diving straight into fights when equipped with certain items.

At that point, Swain is both strong and exerts a lot of pressure, making it very difficult for opponents to control this champion. Swain has two weaknesses: a relatively weak laning phase and diminishing effectiveness in the late game, so Swain players need to stabilize their farm early and aim to end the game as soon as possible in the mid-game. Currently, Swain’s win rate stands at 52.6%.

4. Quinn – Top Lane

Quinn is starting to rise in the top lane with a win rate of 53%, a very high figure in the League of Legends arena. Quinn is increasingly fitting into the Meta as fighter champions start to slow down, while tank champions are becoming stronger, essentially acting as punching bags for Quinn. Now, Quinn’s matchups against opponents have become much easier.

Not receiving any buffs from Riot, Quinn’s win rate has been gradually increasing over time. Therefore, take advantage of Quinn’s unique characteristics; Quinn builds crit but leans towards a “fast burst” style.

3. Fiddlesticks – Jungle

Fiddlesticks was buffed in the previous patch, but it seems this time they may have gone a bit overboard. After just one patch, Fiddlesticks’ win rate increased by 3%, transforming him from a regular champion to a very strong one. In patch 12.14, Fiddlesticks remains unaltered and boasts a win rate of 53.5%.

The key to playing Fiddlesticks primarily lies in the player’s map control mindset rather than difficulty. Use Fiddlesticks as quickly as possible because there is a high likelihood that this champion will be nerfed in the future.

2. Sivir – Marksman

The strongest and most terrifying marksman is named Sivir. After being reworked, Sivir has become significantly stronger as she can deal massive damage in team fights, especially as the game prolongs. With her new Bounce ability, opponents clustered together will lose a significant amount of health without understanding what happened.

Sivir’s weakness lies in her slightly weak early game and short attack range. Therefore, players need to farm well while having a solid frontline to cover her vulnerabilities. Currently, Sivir boasts a win rate of over 53%, the strongest among marksmen and deserving of being used to climb the ranks.

1. Taric – Support

The strongest and most viable champion is Taric in the support position. Taric belongs to the carry support category, becoming stronger as the game progresses and capable of creating impactful moments. His shielding and protection abilities for teammates are top-notch, with healing, shields, and crowd control effects continuously. Furthermore, Taric also possesses significant tankiness.

Taric is indeed very strong and worth playing, but he also has weaknesses. Taric has a relatively weak laning phase, requiring items to become strong and needs good decision-making for effective use. Therefore, players need to play defensively early in the game, waiting for mythic items combined with Eternal Winter to shine. When using Taric, always watch over your teammates and play slowly but surely, as this champion can carry the team extremely well later on. Currently, Taric has a win rate of 54.4%.
