The changes for League of Legends Patch 12.15 have been updated on the Vietnamese servers. This version focuses on champions that have been quite unbalanced lately, as Patch 12.14 leaned more towards champion adjustments rather than the number of changes. Currently, the final adjustments are nearly complete, preparing for implementation across servers in various regions. Now, let’s take a look at the 5 champions that will be adjusted the most. Note: damage will be shortened to ST.

5. Qiyana

Qiyana is very strong in high-ranked play, so the power reduction is quite reasonable. Essentially, Qiyana has the ability to roam rapidly combined with her quick crowd control, making it impossible for opponents to counter. Moreover, Qiyana’s pressure on both sides of the map is immense, allowing her to push lanes and then move swiftly, which is extremely pressuring. Now, Riot will reduce Qiyana’s power through her passive ability that counters crowd control.

Royal Privilege (Passive)

– ST from passive interacting with bonus attack damage: 45% => 30%

Thus, Qiyana will become weaker in terms of quickly taking opponents down. This may sometimes leave Qiyana lacking just a bit to secure kills, allowing opponents to retaliate better. It’s reasonable, as a mobile champion like Qiyana puts immense pressure alongside her annoying crowd control effects, making her quite unbalanced.

4. Sivir

Sivir is an incredibly unreasonable champion. She has a stable laning phase, an annoying defensive style, but is too strong in team fights. Therefore, Sivir has almost no weaknesses, as attacking her in the early game is not easy at all. In Patch 12.14, Riot made adjustments that seemed to have no effect on Sivir, and now they are finally taking action.

– Base physical damage per level increased: 3.3 => 3

Spell Shield (E)

– Cooldown increased: 22/20/18/16/14 => 24/22.5/21/19.5/18 seconds

On the Hunt (R)

– Cooldown increased: 100/85/70 seconds => 120/100/80 seconds

Sivir in versions 12.13 and 12.14 was too OP.

Sivir will be slightly weakened through the increase in bonus physical power. This number is not too significant, but it’s still a disadvantage. Additionally, the cooldown increase on Spell Shield will prevent Sivir from using it continuously in fights when her ultimate is activated, blocking damage from abilities too frequently. Finally, the ultimate will have an increased cooldown, which is the most detrimental change since Sivir heavily relies on her ultimate for her effectiveness. The increase in cooldown time is not small. Sivir will become slightly weaker, dropping her win rate from 53% to around 51%.

3. Kennen

Kennen receives the biggest power boost among the champions reliant on energy. Specifically, Kennen becomes stronger both in laning and team fights, as follows:

Lightning Rush (W)

– Cooldown reduced: 14/12/10/8/6 seconds => 12/10.5/9/7.5/6 seconds

– Activation damage increased: 60/85/110/135/160 => 70/95/120/145/170

Storm (R)

– Interaction with ability power: 20% => 22.5%

Now, the W ability has a 2-second cooldown reduction at level 1, allowing Kennen to poke his opponents constantly during the laning phase, creating significant pressure. Later, this ability does not reduce cooldown at level 5, so boosting it will make Kennen stronger in lane. Additionally, the ultimate Storm interacts more effectively with ability power, allowing Kennen players to be more formidable when diving into fights, as there are times when Kennen lacks just a bit to secure kills but runs out of abilities. In summary, Kennen will be significantly favored in Patch 12.15.

2. Kalista

Next up is Kalista, the strongest attacking champion in the marksman role. Kalista has a tendency to be aggressive early on, and her base physical stats are very high, comparable to physical fighters. Therefore, Kalista often performs well in the early game and has shown great effectiveness recently, leading to her power reduction.

With a reduction of 3 in base physical stats, Kalista will become significantly weaker in the laning phase, reducing pressure in the bottom lane. Particularly, this reduction will hit during the early game, which is Kalista’s golden time, so she will definitely lose at least 1.5-2% of her win rate.

1. Rammus

Rammus will receive a substantial power upgrade in the upcoming patch. The developer Riot Games will significantly boost Rammus’s ultimate ability at the start of the game, when this champion is quite weak, specifically as follows:

Powerball (R)

– Cooldown reduced: 110/95/80 seconds => 90 seconds at all levels

– Minimum roll range increased: 600 => 800

– Maximum roll range increased: 1300 => 1500

– Minimum roll speed: 700 => 900

– Maximum roll speed: 1800 => 2000

Thus, Rammus’s ultimate ability will have a 20-second cooldown reduction at level 6, allowing this champion to engage opponents more easily in lanes. A 20-second difference is significant for a champion that heavily depends on their ultimate like Rammus. Additionally, Rammus’s roll speed and range will be greatly increased, enabling him to engage from a further distance.

Rammus will be very pressuring with the buff to his ultimate.
Rammus will be very pressuring with the buff to his ultimate.

Now, Rammus is both fast and dangerous, receiving a significant upgrade at a time when he has few items, which is when this champion is considered the weakest. Remember that the tank items and core items for Rammus have received substantial buffs in recent patches, so he will be the most noticeably improved champion in the upcoming Patch 12.15 as Riot Games has addressed his weaknesses effectively.
