Kiaya Shares About Azir’s Choice and VCS Teams
In the recent “VCS civil war” against Team SecretWhales, GAM Esports made a bold choice in game 3 by having Aress play the champion Azir. It can be said that Azir is a very strong playmaking champion, suitable for various types of meta but very difficult to use. Even among LCK players, no more than 5 can be considered proficient with Azir. Of course, the result of the match showed everything when Aress almost had no beautiful Shurima Shuffles in the two decisive team fights. However, Kiaya shared some optimistic thoughts about this pick.

Accordingly, in the post-match interview, GAM’s top laner admitted that Azir can be considered GAM’s “secret weapon” and will be used for important matches. However, GAM has not yet operated well and lacks a bit of luck. At the same time, GAM’s top laner confirmed they will continue to use Azir in the decisive match against TALON on June 7th.
Additionally, Kiaya candidly acknowledged: “The VCS teams are not weaker than CFO or TALON, but the issue is that VCS teams often struggle psychologically when facing teams from the PCS. This needs to be addressed by the teams if they want to progress further.”

GAM Once Again Carries the Hopes of VCS
At this moment, GAM once again carries the hopes of the entire VCS for a spot in MSI 2025. However, after their performances from the beginning of the year until now, and even in the Mid-Seasons phase, not many VCS fans really feel secure. Especially when both TALON and CFO are too strong while GAM has been inconsistent.

The match on the afternoon of June 7th could decide a lot, including the future of VCS at MSI 2025. If they miss out on this tournament, it would be a real setback for Vietnamese League of Legends, but given the current situation, that scenario is entirely possible.
