T1 boasts a statistic reminiscent of their undefeated Spring 2022 season
With a flawless victory for T1 in the recent match against HLE, there are numerous factors to discuss regarding the performance of both teams, especially when both are top 3 in the LCK and T1 has faced many defeats against HLE since the 2024 season. Recently, a statistic revealed that HLE lost because they were outmatched by T1, but the reigning 2024 World Champions’ overwhelming victory also had internal factors. One of these is the champion pool of all 5 members during this Road to MSI phase.

Specifically, across all 7 games in their Road to MSI 2025, T1’s 5 members have used nearly all different champions. 3 out of 5 T1 members did not use any champion more than 2 times. Meanwhile, Keria and Doran are the two players who used one champion twice, with Keria using Rakan and Doran using Gwen.

However, the choices made by Keria and Doran are completely understandable. Gwen is the champion that the former HLE star performs best with, showcasing top-tier champion quality in this season of the LCK. Meanwhile, Rakan is currently a very strong team-fighting champion. If Keria does not use him and the champion falls into the hands of players with aggressive play styles like Peter or Delight, it could be extremely dangerous. Notably, Rakan is also a specialty champion for Delight.

But more importantly, this also reveals a truth: it is very difficult to predict T1’s strategies if they regain their high form and play to the strengths of their players. It is T1, not any other team, that has brought the ADC Support playstyle to new heights. To execute unconventional strategies, the champion pool of the players is the most crucial factor.

If T1 maintains their current form, MSI 2025 will be highly anticipated
Ahead of T1 are very strong opponents internationally. But with what they have shown against HLE, many T1 fans feel hopeful for a comeback. If T1 maintains their current form, MSI 2025 is well within their reach, even though T1 has had a very disappointing first half of 2025.
