T1’s Other Two Superstars Also Deserve Recognition
Currently, it seems that all of the biggest tournaments in the professional League of Legends scene have wrapped up their mid-season stages in preparation for MSI 2025. However, the echoes of these events still linger, particularly the surprising 3-0 victory of T1 against HLE last weekend. This scoreline was unexpected, especially considering T1’s long losing streak against HLE since 2024. More importantly, it was the performance of the players that stood out. The duo of Gumayusi and Keria also set a remarkable record in this victory.

Accordingly, T1’s bot duo has maintained a record that ensures the team always finishes at least in the top 3 in every tournament they compete in together, from LCK to international events. This is an unprecedented achievement in both T1’s and LCK’s history, establishing the GuKe duo as the most successful bot lane in League of Legends history to date. During a phase when T1 dropped to the top 6 in the LCK Cup 2025 earlier this year, Gumayusi was benched, and Keria was paired with Smash.

In T1’s victory, while they may not have outshone Doran, the bot duo Gumayusi and Keria made significant contributions. Notably, their perfect execution of Xayah and Rakan set the stage for T1 to completely dismantle HLE’s formidable bot lane duo of Viper and Delight. As a result, the entire team smoothly rotated lanes and systematically defeated HLE.
The Gumayusi – Keria Duo Will Remain Key to T1’s Title Pursuit
In the current meta, the ability of the bot duo to either win or draw their lane allows the Jungler to comfortably gank and control important objectives like Dragons or even Atakhan in certain situations. In today’s professional League of Legends scene, the laning capability of Guma and Keria can be considered unmatched, as so far, no other duo, including strong pairings like Ruler and Duro, Viper and Delight, or Elk and ON, have been able to dominate this duo when they are playing at their peak.

And on T1’s journey to claim titles, Gumayusi and Keria will be key players, relying on their skills and especially the vast champion pool of both players.
